Here at Wandering Tzu, we breed AKC, top-quality, healthy Shih Tzu with the goal of providing the best puppies to loving homes. We are committed to producing well-bred purebred Shih Tzu. Always striving to better the breed while maintaining breed standards. All of our dogs undergo extensive health testing before breeding to ensure our puppies are born healthy and happy. We strongly believe in early enrichment, providing the love, environment and teaching necessary to produce stable, well-adjusted, and confident puppies. Our Story

I chose the name Wandering Tzu because I love taking my dogs on all of my adventures. They love to hike, ride bikes, camp, kayak, rappel, swim and all the other fun stuff I introduce them to. I started breeding Shih Tzu to help protect the health, longevity and standards of the breed. Shih Tzu are supposed to be a sound, sturdy breed with very little temperament or health issues. Too many people are trying to breed for super tiny sizes, extreme flat faces or specific colors without taking into consideration the conformation, health or temperaments of each dog, which is destroying the breed as a whole. I do have a variety of colors and a variety of sizes, but I take careful consideration of pedigree, health testing results and temperament of all of my dogs before deciding who to pair, or who to early retire. I take great pride in only pairing those who will compliment each other with careful attention paid to any faults. I am confident that my puppies will go home healthy, well adjusted, confident and happy.
